OKITE is a specially developed quartz based surfacing material (about 93% quartz and 7% polyester resin) made in Italy by Seieffe Srl.
Prisma Marrone Emperador OKITE is available in slabs, measuring 306x140cm, with thickness ranging from 1.3cm, 2cm and 3cm used for horizontal and vertical applications. It can also be customized to fit any project.
Prisma Marrone Emperador Okite has a absorption rate of 0.022 percent whilst granite is the next closest at 0.2-1.0 percent. OKITE’s strength and durability are unparalleled as proven by outside independent sources that conducted tests on its physical, mechanical and environmental properties. Consequently OKITE does not require sealing or polishing.
The results of these tests confirm that against marble and granite, Prisma Marrone Emperador OKITE is the strongest of the three and is much more resistant to cracking, staining or breaking than any other quarried stones. In fact only three minerals : diamond, sapphire and topaz – are stronger than Prisma Marrone Emperador OKITE.
Additionally, OKITE withstands limited exposure to normal cooking temperatures.
Unlike marble or granite, OKITE does not require any special care or maintenance. It is resistant to staining, scratching and heat and features higher flexibility and strength as compared to other quarried stone, as well as its ability of not absorbing liquids.
With routine care, the remarkably low-maintenance OKITE will preserve its look and beauty for years to come. In addition to the product’s proven performance qualities, Prisma Marrone Emperador OKITE fulfils both decorative and specific design needs for commercial, institutional and residential applications.
Prisma Marrone Emperador OKITE® is ideal for kitchen counter tops, bath vanity tops, hotel reception areas, as well for treads and risers, floor tiles, cladding and partition walls.
Prisma Marrone Emperador OKITE’s versatility, beauty and outstanding performance qualities make it an extremely desirable and sought after surfacing material for all spectrums of the design industry.
